Project Lead: Lisa Parks

Project Description: Professor Parks researches and teaches about media technology use, policy and digital rights in different national contexts. Her previous work has focused on social media use, internet freedom, and digital rights. Now, she is now developing a digital rights research agenda with Professor Jennifer Holt (UC Santa Barbara) that they hope will inform ongoing debates over privacy violations by governments and corporations and attendant threats to internet freedom globally. The IPL is helping to connect her with stakeholders within the United States to inform the direction of this new research agenda.
