Faculty Lead: Janelle Knox-Hayes
Project: Professor Knox-Hayes research involves understanding how different constituencies develop and respond to climate policies. This research has implications for the efficacy of various climate policies within the United States and internationally. To help policy makers enhance the efficacy of climate policies by converting her upcoming book, “The Cultures of Markets: the political economy of climate governance,” into a set of policy recommendations. The PI developed a memo detailing the policy implications of her book. She also developed a public talk which she presented to the World Bank at a brown bag lunch on February 21, 2017.
IPL Support: The IPL assisted in editing the memo and in helping to frame the talk for the World Bank. The later included having a former World Bank employee provide detailed comments on an initial draft of the PI’s talk.
