Project Description: Professor Pindyck is collaborating with visiting scholar Sergio Franklin to develop economic models of deforestation taking into account the possibility of a catastrophic forest-savanna transition. This research is relevant to international agencies concerned with climate change and environmental protection, such as the United Nations, World Economic Forum, World Bank and OECD. The IPL is assisting to identify appropriate organizations to engage with and to translate and disseminate the team’s research findings.
