Principal Investigator: Nicholas Ashford
Professor Ashford’s research focuses on environmental policy and sustainable development. This work has implications for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s implementation of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and Congressional attempts to reform TSCA. He also serves as the key author of a project entitled: “Aligning policies for low-carbon systemic innovation in Europe” commissioned by the Center for European Policy Studies intended to be transmitted and discussed with the European Commission. In that project, he will perform research on decarbonization policies that are likely to impact EU decarbonization goals of the European Union. The IPL is assisting Professor Ashford in the translation of his research to broader audiences and in arranging meetings with relevant policy makers.
