Policy Options Addressing Employment, Purchasing Power, and Income Inequality in the EU and US

Project Lead: Nicholas Ashford

Project Description: The ultimate goal of this project is to encourage the EU, Member States’, and US to adopt policies that could increase the disposable income (i.e., purchasing power) of workers, consumers, and citizens. This will be accomplished through the following three activities: 1) Develop a policy brief on employment, purchasing power, and income inequality, based on the PI’s forthcoming academic book. 2) Identify the most appropriate policy audiences for dissemination and discussion of that brief. 3) Subsequently arrange and present its policy options at conferences, workshops, and meetings to disseminate the issues addressed in the brief.

IPL Support: Reviewing and editing policy briefs, identifying policy audiences for outreach, and logistical
support.
